[00:00:01] Celebrating the blog's 14th anniversary do you have a favorite post by Bart Ehrman? [00:00:09] Want to help celebrate the beginning of year 15 of the blog? Choose one of your favorite posts, even if you started, say, last week for us to revisit. See below for details. [00:00:20] We celebrated our 14th anniversary on April 3rd this year, 2026. Wow. I did not see that coming. We're going to keep celebrating this for a while. [00:00:31] First, I should say that this longevity entails some interesting numbers. We have had 4300 posts, mostly by me, but some by guest scholars and occasionally platinum members. [00:00:42] On average, that means about 6 per week. [00:00:46] These posts have generated about 165,710 comments from readers, so around 228 per week. And about 55,000 of those are my replies to questions, so about 75 per week. Okay then. [00:01:02] More importantly, we have raised a boatload of money for our charities, nearly three and a half million dollars since we started, with the last three years being by far the best for our nearly $1.5 million combined. [00:01:15] The vast chunk of that has come from membership fees, that is from your generous decision to join up for the fun. [00:01:21] Many thanks. As you know, we have never taken a dime of overhead out of the membership fees. Every penny goes to the charities. We do separate fundraising for our costs and our operating expenses. [00:01:32] So to celebrate a bit more, I'm about to start a thread of 14 posts from April of each year of the blog's existence, starting with the next post. These are simply ones I've chosen that seem to me to be interesting and worth repeating here at this juncture of our existence. [00:01:47] But on top of that, I thought we could have 14 fan favorites as well. [00:01:52] Is there a post that you found particularly interesting or meaningful? [00:01:56] We want to compile a list of the 14 top favorites from any year and post those as well. [00:02:02] If you have one that you'd like to recommend, it's easy schmeezy. Send us an [email protected] and in the email include this information. [00:02:13] Number 1 Title and date of the blog post. Number 2 A short explanation of why you especially liked it, from a sentence to I don't know, however the spirit moves. And number three your name, if you don't mind revealing it. And at the end of this month we will collect the Top 14 entries and I'll post them with your name if you'd like and not if you prefer your explanation and the post. [00:02:36] So many, many thanks for being a part of this endeavor. In 14 years, we'll be doing it all over again.
